In June I saw the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park, London. The concert was part of a European tour celebrating the Rolling Stones’ 60 years in music. It was an amazing gig but all I could talk about afterwards was Mick Jagger. Mick Jagger is unbelievable. Mick Jagger is impossible. Mick Jagger is 79!
When I grow up I want to be Mick Jagger!
Apparently, six weeks before a tour begins Mick does dance and gym workouts every day, in addition to his regular Pilates and yoga practice, placing flexibility at the heart of his exercise.
Dance workouts benefit stamina, strength and flexibility, and are deeply effective mood boosters. It is good for bone health, mental health, can improve memory, release stress and help us feel socially connected.
At LifeDock we believe in the power of dance. So, whether it’s in a Zumba class or in your kitchen with the music turned up we say – dance like nobody’s watching! Or maybe dance like 60,000 people are watching and release your inner Mick!
