Leading older adults in physical activity is both rewarding and great fun. As the name suggests, this programme encourages the participants to be “On their Feet”. It has been described as “Exercise in Disguise” due to the sessions being so much fun! On Your Feet instructor training is a fully accredited Level 2 qualification, designed for older adults and adults with learning disabilities. It provides the learner with a series of standing exercise to music routines that include social interaction, movement and most importantly, laughter! You will learn pre-choreographed routines as well as developing the skills to create your own sessions.
It is suitable for a wide range of clients and can be adapted according to the ability of your group. This fun and energising activity is perfect for day centres, leisure centres, supported housing and a wide range of community settings.
The course can be delivered in person or via Video Conferencing for groups of 12 or more. Due to Covid-19 there is flexibility on course delivery. Contact Us for more information. Individual learners are also able to complete the course but will be required to submit a short video assessment.
LifeDock leaders have access to ongoing support once training is completed via the LifeDock Leader's dashboard where video tutorials and resources are available. Leaders are also welcome to attend online, quarterly refresher workshops allowing them to learn new skills, ask questions and discuss any difficulties.
Please note: There are no pre-course requirements necessary to On Your Feet - Just a passion to get people moving!
