6. Ongoing support… As a LifeDock Leader you will continue to have access to video tutorials on the LifeDock Learning platform and ongoing support once training is completed.

This training is a must if you work or volunteer in a day centre, nursing or residential homes, supported housing, leisure centres and community outreach programmes.

Course content...

• Recognise the effects of inactivity and the benefits of physical activity
• Know how to develop a safe and effective DrumTastic session
• Understand the role of music within a DrumTastic session
• Understand the importance of effective screening and Health and Safety procedures related to a DrumTastic session
• Be able to deliver a safe and effective a DrumTastic session
•  Identify the joints and how they are mobilised at the start of the session
• Recognise suitable music for a DrumTastic session
• Create your own DrumTastic routines

  *Assessment is by tutor observation (video submission or Zoom) and a written assignment.

Zoom course requirements
To gain certification you must:

• Attend both course dates
• Complete the online course materials, preferably before the course begins
• Complete a written assignment
• Teach a short DrumTastic session (10 minutes) with your tutor on a Zoom call
